ABOUT XIII COLAOВ

The 13th edition of COLAOB (COLAOB 2025) will be held in Rio de Janeiro from August 26 to 29th, 2025. The event is expected to welcome approximately 350 participants from across Brazil and abroad, particularly from Latin America. Attendees will include undergraduate and graduate students, academics, professionals, and industry representatives from diverse fields such as Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Health Sciences, and Biotechnology.

The advancement of human and animal health involves a large chain of high-tech goods and services, which could even solidify as one of the most important vectors for the economic and social development of a nation. In this context, the Latin-American Congress of Artificial Organs and Biomaterials stands as a key international biennial event. The congress attracts renowned experts to discuss new technologies, research, innovations, and current challenges through lectures, plenary sessions, and round tables.

It also features exhibitions by companies and startups. Over its 12 previous editions, COLAOB has contributed to the dissemination of knowledge and has been providing ongoing education for students and professionals, as well as fostering interaction with the productive sector and establishing new collaborations.
